I hear ya
I just read Lisa's blog and I am so there. I have been thinking alot lately about the whole resolution thing and about what I would like to change in my life. My biggest thing is connecting with people - I think. It is too easy for me to get caught up in the day to day family life that before I know it, it has been weeks since I talk to any of my friends and I think "I should call them tomorrow". Then tomorrow comes and there is more stuff to do and I keep putting it off longer and longer and then suddenly I wonder why am I so lonely? It's nobody's fault but mine. So my resolution is to be a better friend, to stay connected, to make time for all the other relationships in my life besides my husband and children. So Lisa when you call to chat, I will totally go along, if you'll do the same for me! And to all my friends near and far - Merry Christmas!

It's funny how we can be so close to people and yet never talk to them or see them. I still have a big group of friends from high school are we are lucky if we see each other twice a year. And yet I still consider them some of my best friends. I noticed the biggest change after I got married and then again after I had Lucas. When you have all single friends, you hear less and less from them, and they from you!
